On Friday, April 29th, Ernst & Haas visited the Escape Room ,Downtown LA to escape the evil Alchemist room and help release the friendly ghost of The Theater. Outside stood the most recent adventurist discussing what if strategies and the room they may, or may have not escaped. I glanced at Glenda knowing we would escape our room.
However, the evil Alchemist proved to be more genius than what we presumed. The first room we entered was a library with cards which were left between books. The books they originated from meant nothing, but all the cards had numbers on them. In the center of the room there was a long table that had a box of clues that included a map and some ancient writing. At the head of the table there was a podium with a riddle. As we all discovered new clues and threw out ideas the level of excitement and miscommunication rose. Paul pointed out how awful we were communicating so we all took a breather. Once calm, we were able to escape the library and enter the next room. Adrenaline rush!
The next room was impossible. We did not escape but had so much fun trying to release the elements of the brilliant alchemist. As for the staff that was in the Theater, they appeared to be more strategic and were told by the Escape Room staff that if they had 5 more minutes, they would have escaped. Overall, we had an amazing time and can not wait to visit next year.
Here are some pictures before we entered!
