30 Minute Beach Clean Up:
Advocate Community Service and being “Green” for the next generation! Every third Saturday of every month at 10 a.m., rain or shine. Meet on the beach at 1 Granada Ave. in the Belmont Shore area of Long Beach to help rid the beach of trash and debris. Free parking, bags, gloves, refreshments, door prizes, and volunteer credit forms. Just show up.

Long Beach Municipal Band 2010 Summer Concerts:
Now in its 101st year of continuous service to the citizens of Long Beach, each free concert presents the music of America: Classical and pop favorites, extraordinary jazz, movie music, Broadway show tunes, and Big Band salutes. Bring your blanket or low-profile beach chairs, a delicious summer picnic, the kids, the family pet & friends. Festivities start at 6:30 p.m.

57th Annual event courtesy of the Southern California Tuna Club, Fred Hall Fishing Shows and Alfredo's Beach Club is free to kids 16 an under and includes free bait and instruction.

3rd Annual North vs. South Civil War Re-Enactment:
Come see one of the West Coast’s largest Civil War Battle reenactments at El Dorado Regional Park from 10a.m. to 5 p.m. both days. “The Civil War Remembered” event brings together hundreds of uniformed combatants from North and South to re-create the conflict of the Civil War.

REG has planned a fun-filled summer of select movies for kids and parents. Regal has proudly offered this free summer fun since 1991. Oh, did we mention that it’s FREE! Selected G or PG movies start at 10:00 am every Tuesday and Wednesday during the festival. Tickets and seating are first-come, first-serve and are limited to theatre capacity.
